IMPROVING INFORMATION ONE VEHICLE AT A TIME

Welcome to the Automotive Education and Policy Institute. Motor vehicles are an integral part of American life.  We know that people just like you have questions or are looking for information about their cars, sport utility vehicles, and trucks that is often difficult to find.  We help people find the information about vehicle safety, repairs, and insurance that they are seeking.  We also assist service and collision repair professionals with information that enables them to best serve you, their customers.

AEPI is a non-profit organization that was created to fill in the informational void where government regulation and other automotive services leave off.  While the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration oversees the manufacturing of safe motor vehicles, there is no federal governmental agency and very few state agencies that have the power or obligation to make certain that your motor vehicle stays safe throughout its useful lifetime.  That is why you need all of the information available to help keep the vehicle you drive and your family rides in safe.

By visiting other areas of our website, you will find auto manufacturer recommendations for proper vehicle repair, federal and state laws affecting consumers and repair professionals, explanations of insurance terms and standard policy provisions, links to relevant websites, forms, and surveys to help us provide you with important information regarding your vehicle and its ongoing safety and to discover what additional information you may be interested in learning.
